Hitachi inks deal to equip Iranian refinery

TEHRAN – Japan’s Hitachi has signed a deal to supply vapor recovery units (VRU) and compressors to Iran’s Bidboland Gas Refinery in southwestern Khuzestan province, Shana reported without giving further details.
According to Shana, when completed, the Bidboland refinery will add 48 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) of refined gas to the country’s output.
The refinery is also projected to produce annually 1.5 million tons of ethane as well as 1.5 million tons of liquefied gases including propane and butane.
