Iran deploys forces at Syria-Iraq border: Fars

TEHRAN – Iran’s Fatemiyoun Brigade has deployed forces at border areas between Syria with Iraq, Fars reported on Monday.
The source added Major General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, is also in the region and visited the deployed brigade.
The Liwa Fatemiyoun also known as the Fatemiyoun Brigade and Fatemiyoun Division, is an Afghan group formed in 2014 to fight against the terrorists in Syria. Based on media reports, it numbers over 20,000 men.
