TEHRAN – An Iranian futurologist argues the emerging rift between Riyadh and Doha goes far beyond a mutual conflict and has its roots in U.S. schemes against Iran.
The current move to spread insecurity to the Persian Gulf is the latest in a series that started with George H. W. Bush by injecting insecurity in the region, maintained by Bush Jnr., and transformed into preserving a weak balance between Iran and Saudi Arabia during Barack Obama, Mehdi Motaharnia told the Khordad website on Monday.
