Sapienza University displays paintings by Iranian artists

TEHRAN – Paintings by 19 Iranian female artists on the themes of Persian literature and musical instruments were exhibited at the Museum of Classical Art of the Sapienza University in Rome.
“Colors of Iranian Music” featured 30 paintings selected from the workshop held by Italian artist and musician Antonio Poce at the Music Museum of Iran in Tehran in February.
The exhibit was organized by Iran’s Cultural Office in Rome and took place last Thursday and Friday, the office has announced on its website.
The Harpax Gallery in Ferentino, a town 65 km southeast of Rome, also hosted the exhibit for one day on Saturday.
Sapienza University Deputy Rector for General Affairs Antonello Biagini, former Italian cultural attaché in Tehran Carlo Cereti, Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Rome Akbar Qoli and a number of Italian teachers and students attended the opening ceremony.
Jaleh Nozari, Hiva Moazed, Jila Ebadi, Shabnam Tabatabai, Jinus Shahidi and Mojdeh Rabiei are among the artists whose paintings were shown.
