TEHRAN – Iran condemned on Tuesday a deadly terror attack in England’s Manchester Arena, saying that terrorism, regardless of where it hits, originates from the same ideology. 

“We believe terrorist attacks in Iran’s Mirjaveh and England’s Manchester originate from the same ideology,” Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Tuesday, referring to 10 Iranian border guards who were killed late April in a terrorist ambush in Mirjaveh in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran.

“All countries victimized by such extremist and terrorist, takfiri thoughts require to get united to confront such acts seriously, purposefully and sincerely.” 

A suicide bombing at a crowded pop concert in Manchester Arena in England left at least 22 people dead and more 59 injured. 

The horror unfolded at about 10.30pm on Monday at the end of a concert by the American singer Ariana Grande, whose music is popular with children and teenagers.

The attack, which took place in the foyer, left hundreds of people fleeing in terror, with young people at the concert separated from their parents in the chaos.

It left carnage inside the concert venue, with medics describing treating wounds consistent with shrapnel injury.

The terrorist attack is the deadliest incident in England since July 2005 as four suicide bombers killed 52 people on London's transport system. 
ISIS has reportedly claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
