TEHRAN – A conservative advisor to the Iranian Majlis speaker has said Tehran “welcomes respectful ties with Riyadh,” Mehr reported.
“Regional circumstances have completely changed,” said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Saturday. “Only through relying on the power of nations, healthy relations, and mutual respect situations can turn in favor of everybody.”
He criticized Saudi Arabia for relying on extra-regional forces in its pursuit of a regional position, reiterating that “Iran has always favored mutually respectful relations with Saudi Arabia.”
