More cities to be connected to national railway network

TEHRAN – Capital cities of five more provinces will be connected to the country’s national railway network in the current Iranian calendar year (March 2017- March 2018), IRNA reported quoting a railway official.

According to Saeid Mohammadzadeh, the managing director of Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (IRIR), Hamedan, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Orumieh and Rasht are the cities to be connected to the national railway network.
“More than 800 kilometers of railway will also be added to the rail network across the county,” he added.
