TEHRAN – Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s official website, khamenei.ir, has launched a special page about the May 19 election.

The web page will publish Ayatollah Khamenei’s views on elections, said a post on the new page at farsi.khamenei.ir/entekhabat96 on Sunday.

The most recent post on the page summarizes the Leader’s recent meeting with Army officials where he said “all should appreciate elections.”

It continues to read, “The elections should be healthy and full of security and held with widespread participation, passion, vigor and vitality… which will lend much security to the country.”
