Iran offering colorful programs at Bologna Children’s Book Fair

TEHRAN -- The Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) is offering a wide variety of programs at the 54th Bologna Children’s Book Fair, which opened today in the Italian city.

The Authors Café hosts a group of Iranian writers and illustrators of today, the institute announced in a press release on Monday.

Shahrzad Shahrjerdi and Ghazal Fathollahi, the writer and illustrator of “You’re a Tourist”, and illustrators Narges Mohammadi and Hassan Ammehkan are scheduled to visit the fair, which will run until April 6.

Fatemeh Rakei, a Persian scholar of Italian literature, will be discussing a Persian version of Italian author Carlo Collodi’s “The Adventures of Pinocchio”.

In addition, Simone Rea and Arianna Vairo, the two Italian illustrators who held several workshops at the Iran Cultural Fairs Institute in Tehran this year in January, are scheduled to share their experiences of visiting Iran at Iran’s pavilion.

This year, Iran also offers a catalogue introducing over 60 top national children’s writers.

Ahmadreza Ahmadi, Morteza Khosravinejad, Abbas Abdi, Fariba Kalhor, Atusa Salehi, Hamidreza Shahabadi and Mohammadreza Sarshar are among the writers.
