TEHRAN – The veteran stage and screen actor Ali Nasirian has assigned by the General Office for Dramatic Arts to write a statement for the National Day of Theater, which will be celebrated at Tehran’s City Theater Complex on March 27.

The Aran Puppet Theater Group plans to mark the day by inaugurating a museum of its puppets, the office announced in a press release on Friday.

The museum has been established in a building adjacent to Tehran’s Ferdowsi Hall.

Tehran’s theaters, including the Sangelaj Hall, the City Theater Complex, and the Honar Hall will be hosting a number of plays on the theme of Noruz, Persian New Year celebration, during this day.

The day of March 27 has been designated Iran’s Theater National Day and is concurrent with the World Theater Day, which is celebrated annually around the world.
