Gasoline production set to increase by 16 mld soon: official

TEHRAN – Iran’s gasoline production is set to witness an increase of 16 million liters per day (mld) soon, Shana quoted an oil official as saying on Monday.

According to Abbas Kazemi, the managing director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), with the first phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery going on stream the country’s gasoline quality and quantity will increase significantly.

“More than 80 percent of the country’s gasoline will be produced under euro 4 quality standards by the end of the upcoming Iranian calendar year of 1396 (March 20, 2018),” Kazemi said.
