Iran basketball team victorious over Japan in friendly

The Iranian basketball team defeated Japan in their second match on Saturday.
Iran, who were defeated against Japan 85-74 on Friday, emerged victorious 73-68 in their second match.
Iran traveled to Tokyo with a mixture of experienced and young basketball players.
The Iranian team, headed by Mehran Hatami, finished in second place at the West Asia Basketball Association (WABA) Championship 2017 Qualifiers last week.
Iran also qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup 2017 which will be held in Lebanon from August 10 to 20.
The matches were held as part of preparation for the upcoming tournaments.
Japan are also preparing for the East Asia Basketball Championship for Men to book a place in the FIBA Asia Cup 2017.
