TEHRAN – It feels entirely wrong to sell arms to any tyrannical or rogue state which may use such weapons aggressively either against its own people or the rest of the world, Melanie Phillips wrote for The Times on Tuesday, but justified the arms sales by saying they are put into anti-Iran use.
Saudi Arabia is the UK’s largest arms customer. A Saudi-led coalition bombing campaign in Yemen is said to have caused widespread civilian casualties.
