U.S. companies face no ban entering Iran’s oil industry: Zanganeh
TEHRAN – “The U.S. companies will face no limit from our side for entering Iran’s oil industry,” Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh was quoted by ILNA news agency on Tuesday.
The minister however noted that so far Iran has not received any direct request from U.S. companies regarding contribution to the country’s oil industry.
In January, Iran's Oil Ministry prequalified 29 international companies to bid for its oil and gas projects based on the new model of contracts, known as Iran Petroleum Contract (IPC).
Anglo-Dutch Shell, France’s Total, Italy’s Eni, Malaysia’s Petronas, Russia’s Gazprom and Lukoil, Austria’s OMV, Germany’s Wintershall, as well as companies from Spain, Poland, China, Japan, India and some other countries were included in the list.
