Iran-U.S. trade drops 20% in Nov

TEHRAN- According to the latest data released by the American Statistical Association (ASA), the value of trade between Iran and the U.S. stood at $9.7 million in November 2016, registering a 20 percent fall from its preceding month, Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday.

As reported, Iran-U.S. trade stood at $51.5 million in October 2016.

The exports of the U.S. to the Islamic Republic of Iran decreased about 16.6 percent and reached $6.5 million in November, while the figure stood at $37.6 million in October, 2016.

The imports of the U.S. from Iran was $3.2 million in November, showing 20 percent decrease from $13.9 million in October 2016.

According to the previous data released by ASA, the value of trade between Iran and the U.S. stood at $190 million during the first ten months of 2016.

The figure shows 11 percent drop from $213.9 million in the same period of time in 2015.

Of the $190 million worth of bilateral trade, $152.4 million was related to the U.S. exports to Iran, with 28 percent fall from $213.9 during January-October of the past year.
