Police to establish security headquarters for 2017 presidential election

TEHRAN – Iran’s police have announced that a security headquarters would be founded to ensure the security of the upcoming presidential election, IRNA reported.

“The Election Security Headquarters will be launched by NAJA in order to provide the security of the election before, during and after it,” said police spokesman Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi during a press conference on Sunday.

Presidential elections are scheduled to be held on May 19, 2017.
