TEHRAN – Iranian director Esmaeil Monsef’s “Ardak” received the special jury award of the 14th International Short and Independent Film Festival (ISIFF), which was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from December 3 to 10.

The film is about a father waiting for the return of his son who left the country many years before.

Best film award in the international competition section went to “Family Offline” by Russian director Geroge Protov while Saiful Wadud Helal’s “Jhalmalia-The Sacred Water” from Bangladesh won the best documentary award in this section.
