TEHRAN – Iranian Minister of Interior Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli on Saturday appointed Ali Asqar Ahmadi as his new political deputy, Mehr news agency reported.

Ahmadi had previously held the position of deputy interior minister for law enforcement forces. He also has work experiences as the secretary general of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, parliamentarian, and secretary of the office for campaign against drugs and currency smuggling.
