Iranian airlines negotiating purchase of SSJ100

TEHRAN- Secretary of the Association of Iranian Airlines Maqsoud As’adi Samani told Mehr news agency on Saturday that Iranian airlines are holding talks with the Russian Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO) to buy Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100).

“The Russian aircraft-manufacturing company is to present its produced SSJ100 in a Tuesday meeting to Iranian customers,” As’adi Samani said, “Iranian airlines will decide about making the purchases after the meeting.”
He further pointed to the continuation of talks with Boeing and Airbus adding that the models of the 17 Airbuses to be purchased through Lease-Purchase Contract will remain unknown until the deal becomes finalized.
The SSJ100 is a modern fly-by-wire twin-engine regional jet with 8 (VIP) to 108 (all economy) passenger seats.
