Lebanon calls for co-op with Iran in auto industry

TEHRAN – Lebanese Industry Minister Hussein Elhajj Hassan has voiced his country’s interest in cooperation with Iran in auto industry and coproduction of cars in Lebanon, IRNA reported on Saturday.

According to the report, the minister made the remarks on Friday in the opening ceremony of Iranian Automaker Saipa’s representative office in Lebanon.
Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali, Saipa’s Managing Director Mehdi Jamali and a handful of Iranian and Lebanese officials also attended the opening ceremony.
