World’s first student-made UAV unveiled in Tehran

TEHRAN – The world’s first student-made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) named Saher (wizard) was unveiled in Allameh Helli High School in Tehran on Tuesday.
Deputy Head of Basij Organization Brigadier Ali Fazli and the Managing Director of Tehran Education Department Alireza Kamraie took part in the unveiling ceremony.
Saher’s missions consist of aerial imaging, environment controlling, as well as fire and traffic controlling.
The UAV can fly 1,900 km at one flight and can ascend to 5,500 m altitude.
