TEHRAN – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has expressed condolences on the death of Jafar Shojouni, an outstanding revolutionary cleric, the Leader’s website reported on Monday.

Writing on Monday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praised Shojouni as “an old fighter against the [Pahlavi] regime and one of those faithful to Imam (Khomeini) and the sacred system of the Islamic Republic throughout his missionary life”.

Shojouni was a member of the Combatant Clergy Association’s Central Council.
