TEHRAN – Iran’s minister of intelligence has said currently there are no dual-national officials.

“After the only dual-national official resigned two weeks ago, we have no dual-national official at the high levels,” Mahmoud Alavi said on Monday, ILNA reported.

“A member of the incumbent government preferred the honor of being an Iranian to having American citizenship,” he underlined.

He said based on the law, a person with dual-national cannot become minister, deputy minister, MP, or director general in Iran.
