TEHRAN – The spokesman of the Judiciary has said that the recent release of Homa Hoodfar was not related to the case Mahmoud Reza Khavari.

Speaking in answer to a question whether Hoodfar’s release was followed by talks on Khavari in a weekly press conference, Qolamhossein Mohseni Ejei said, “The police, Foreign Ministry, and the Judiciary have been following the case of [Khavari] since early days.”

“Therefore,” he concluded, “the two cases are not in any way related.”
