TEHRAN – A fleet of Russian warships docked at Iran’s Caspian port of Anzali on Tuesday as part of the two countries’ efforts to widen their military cooperation.

The Russian fleet, carrying the massage of “peace and friendship”, was welcomed by local Iranian naval staff headed by Rear Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, Fars news agency reported.

The commander of the Russian fleet was scheduled to meet with local political and military officials in Gilan province.
