Kianersi appointed NITC’s new managing director

TEHRAN - The board of directors of National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) decided on Saturday to replace Ali-Akbar Safaei with Sirous Kianersi as the new managing director, Shana reported.

Safaei has been the managing director of National Iranian Tanker Company since 2013.
Heading the crude oil export planning in National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC)’s international affairs department, also being NIOC’s representative in Naftiran Intertrade Company (NICO), NIOC’s representative in China office, managing director and board of directors’ chairman in Paad Energy Development Co. (a subsidiary of the state pension fund) are among Kianersi’s previous positions.
NITC, which operates the largest tanker fleet in the Middle East and has the world’s largest fleet of super tankers, transports Iranian crude and also acts as an independent entity in contracts with foreign concerns for crude oil transportation based on prevailing international freight rates.
