Iran exports above $58m of goods to U.S. in 8 months

TEHRAN- According to the latest data released by the American Statistical Association (ASA), the Islamic Republic of Iran has exported $58.5 million of goods to the United States in the first eight months of 2016, Tasnim news agency reported on Friday.

Iran’s imports from the U.S. in the said time stood at $108.5 million, the report said.
According to the data, Iran-U.S. mutual trade value has experienced a two-percent decrease compared to the same time span last year. The common trade exchange between the two countries stood at $170.8 million in the first eight months of 2015, but the figure has dropped to $167 million in the same period in 2016. 
Iran-U.S. commercial exchange in the first seven months of 2016 experienced an 11 percent decline and shrank to $139.4 million from its previous $157.7 million in the same time span in 2015.
The worth of U.S.’s exports to Iran in January-July 2016 was $97.7 million, showing a 38 percent fall from $157.7 million in the same period in 2015.
The country’s worth of imports from the Islamic Republic in the said time was $41.7 million, while the figure stood at zero in the same time in the preceding year.
