TEHRAN- The first exclusive trade exhibition of Armenia in Iran will open tomorrow at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds, the official website of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) announced.

Some 91 Armenian companies active in the sectors of construction, transportation, agriculture, tourism, information technology, banking and insurance as well as medical equipment, food and garment will showcase their latest products and achievements in the four-day event.

The exhibit aims to expand economic cooperation between Iran and Armenia, promote bilateral investment and expand tourism in both countries.

It will provide a proper opportunity for the Iranian traders and businessmen to get acquainted with the trade and industrial capabilities of Armenia and find Armenian partners for stable and long-term cooperation.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Harutyunyan said Armenia must carry out huge work to increase the trade turnover with Iran. According to him despite Iran-Armenia trade turnover results for the first quarter of 2016 are promising, this is still not enough, Armenpress reported on September 16.
