TEHRAN – Navy Commander Habibollah Sayyari said on Monday that the Iranian armed forces will confront any threat or aggression with a crushing response.

“If they want to threaten us or create a challenge for us, we will give them a crushing and firm response," Sayyari told al-Alam.

He also stressed his forces’ capability to safeguard the territorial waters.

The admiral added, “The Persian Gulf is a confined and semi-closed sea which belongs to the neighboring states.”
