RIO – Iranian super heavyweight weightlifter Behdad Salimi hopes to defend his gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Salimi will be defending his title at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
“I am well-prepared for the competition. I’ve trained well in the previous months. All things are ready for an interesting rivalry,” Salimi said.
“I cannot predict the results but I will do my best to get the best result. I hope to defend my title in Rio,” he added.
“I will be competing with some new opponents from Armenia, Georgia, and Estonia, and I think I have a difficult task ahead of me. My toughest rival is Lasha Talakhadze from Georgia,” Salimi concluded.
