TEHRAN – The justice minister has said Iran is firm to greatly reduce the amount of goods smuggled into the country.
“We have managed to reduce the amount from $25 billion per year three years ago to $15 billion last year. We are planning to drive the number to $10 billion by the end of the current year (March 20),” Mostafa Pourmohammad said on Sunday, Etemad reported.
He went on to stress the need to pay attention to goods smuggling as well as tax evasion as “instances of fraud which are much greater than the inflated salaries.”
