Iranian woman shooter Elaheh Ahmadi believes that she is ready to win a medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

“I’ve worked hard during the last couple of months and I think I’m completely ready to win my first Olympics medal. I’ve strong opponents who are all world champions but I’ve beat them in the past,” Ahmadi said.

“Olympics is totally different from the other competitions. At the 2012 London Olympic Games I could have done better if I had more experience however competing at the previous Olympics can definitely help me to take off pressure in Rio,” she added.

Ahmadi, who has won the gold medal at the 2015 ISSF World Cup Final in Munich, Germany, will take on her opponents in the Women’s 10m air rifle on August 6.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she reached the final in the women's 10m air rifle but failed to secure a podium finish.
