Gazprom, Russia's state controlled gas giant, is interested in developing gas projects in Iran.

According to Russian business daily Vedomosti, Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that the company is also interested in marketing project of LNG and natural gas in general.

Alexander Medvedev, Gazprom's deputy chairman, had earlier said that the group does not rule out participation in export projects in Iran, the paper also reported.
