Iran basketball team seized its second victory at the Williams Jones Cup on Monday.

Dirk Bauermann’s team, consisting of youth and experienced players, defeated USA representative Sacramento 70-59.

Iran had defeated Chinese Taipei B 73-61 in its first match on Saturday.

The Iranian team will meet Egypt on Tuesday.

The 2016 William Jones Cup is the ongoing 38th staging of William Jones Cup, a top-level international basketball tournament of FIBA Asia.

The men's tournament is being held from 23–30 July 2016 at the Hsinchuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
