Iran’s annual urea output beats 5.5m tons

TEHRAN- Having the third ammonia and urea unit of Marvdasht Martyrs Petrochemical Plant launched, Iran’s annual output of ammonia and urea reached 4.5 million tons and 5.5 million tons, respectively, Shana news agency quoted Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marzieh Shahdaie on Tuesday.

The NPC senior official, who made the remarks addressing the inauguration ceremony of the launched project in the southern Iranian province of Fars, elaborated that the established unit has the capacity of producing 680,000 tons of ammonia and 1,075,000 tons of granular urea.
