TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani will take a two-day visit to Azerbaijan to participate in a tripartite meeting with his Azerbaijani and Russian counterparts in August. On agenda are separate sessions with President Vladimir Putin and President Ilham Aliyev.

In addition to signing tripartite documents, the Iranian and Azerbaijani presidents will review previous agreements and look into ways to expand bilateral ties.
Earlier on April 7, foreign ministers of the three countries sat together in Baku amid escalating conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
