TEHRAN – The U.S. cannot shun away from dealing with Iran, and as the Obama administration opened a door, the next president would have to follow the path, Gary Sick wrote in an article on Cleveland Council website on Sunday.

Sick is an American academic and analyst of Middle East affairs, with special expertise on Iran, who served on the U.S. National Security Council.

He added that the U.S. and its allies have to assure Iran that it will reach all its economic goals that it were to gain under the JCPOA because the U.S. would remain faithful to its promiss.
