Iran and Iraq agreed to set up a joint shipping line, the state-run Fars news agency reported, citing Ataollah Sadr, the managing director of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization.
The shipping venture will be set up by private companies, the agency said without providing further details.
Iran and Iraq had agreed to establish joint companies with the aim of facilitating transportation of goods and passengers between the two nations, Fars said.
