TEHRAN -- The leader of the Pakistani Party of Qawmi Baluchestan said on Saturday that Baluchestan Province of Iran has had a great trend of development in comparison with Pakistani Baluchestan. Speaking at a session of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Shakil Baluch added, "The Federal government of Pakistan does not pay any heed to development of Pakistan's Baluchestan, which borders Iran, and this is disappointing." During the parliamentary discussions on the budget bill, Baluch said that since the people in Pakistan's Baluchestan are deprived of their basic requirements, when they look at Iran's Baluchestan, the light of electricity there makes them disappointed.
A representative of the National Unity Movement in Pakistan's National Assembly, Muhammad Arefkhan, said, "Although the Baluchi people are in need of importing their food from Iran, the federal government of Pakistan takes no stride for removing their problems. Pakistan's 642.2-billion-rupee budget bill has been under discussion in the country's National Assembly since last week. The economic, social and health conditions in Pakistan's Baluchestan has been worsening in recent years.
Before the Islamic Revolution, Iranians living on border areas were using the health services of Pakistan's Baluchestan. However, in the past two decades, the Iranian province made great progress in different fields and is capable of giving services in all areas including health.
