Arba'in, June 5 Uprising Marked in Iran, Abroad

TEHRAN Majlis Speaker Hojjatoleslam Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri said Saturday that movements of the third Imam of Prophet Mohammad's (S) infallible household Imam Hussein (A) ibn Ali (A) and that of late Imam Khomeini, father of the Islamic Revoliution and Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as June 5 uprising were in the same line. Addressing large group of mourners at Imam Khomeini's mausoleum on the occasion of `Arba'in' and anniversary of June 5 uprising, Nateq Nouri said that Iran's Islamic Revolution and Islamic sovereign state follow the same objectives today.

Meanwhile, Head of Leadership Office Hojjatoleslam Mohammadi Golpayegani said here on Saturday that Islamic Revolution stems from the Revolution of the third Imam of Prophet Mohammad's (S) infallible household Imam Hussein ibn Ali (A). Golpayegani, addressing ceremonies marking the 40th day of Imam Hussein's (A) martyrdom anniversary and the June 5 uprising, said that what made Islamic Revolution victorious was love in Imam Hussein (A) and kindness towards Prophet Mohammad's (S) infallible household.

Also, Ceremonies were held at Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe on Friday night to mark `Arba'in' (the 40th day of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein ibn Ali (A), the third Imam of Prophet Mohammad's (S) infallible household), and the Imam Khomeini's 10th departure anniversary. Iranians residing in Dushanbe as well as a number of Pakistani, Afghan and Tajik Muslims were present at the ceremony, where pupils of Iranian school and two Iranian and Tajik poets recited essays and eulogies on Imam Hussein (A) and his true follower the late Imam Khomeini.
