Iran’s non-oil trade balance above 72 countries

TEHRAN — Iran’s non-oil trade balance has been more positive than those of 72 countries in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20), the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration announced on Sunday.

Non-oil trade balance of the country (excluding gas condensates, crude oil, natural gas and services) in the mentioned period of time faced $6.2b deficit, IRICA said.

Iran’s non-oil exports excluding oil condensates have increased by well over 24.7% in the first three months of the Iranian calendar year compared to the same period of the last year, reaching $7.4b.
 
Including gas condensates, Iran exported over $10b worth of non-oil goods in the first three months of the current calendar year.

The weight of the non-oil exports (excluding oil condensates) witnessed an 8.4% growth in the first season of Iranian calendar year in comparison to the same period of last year, reaching to 15.8 million tons, the report said. 

Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, Indonesia and Japan have increased their non-oil imports from Iran in the period.

According to the report, Iran has imported more than $13.7b worth of goods in the mentioned period, which shows 0.4% decline comparing to the same period of last year.

Head of Iran's Customs Administration Abbas Memarnejad announced recently that Western sanctions have had no bearing on the country's trade growth.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran’s non-oil exports have grown by over four times in the past five years.
