Tehran museum to hang works by Japanese artists

TEHRAN – The Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum will showcase calligraphy works and drawings by Japanese artists in an exhibition, which will open on Thursday.

The museum will organize the exhibition entitled “Cherry Blossoms and the Tale of Genji” in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Tehran and the Art and Cultural Organization of the Tehran Municipality.

The Japanese tea ceremony and workshops for Japanese styles of calligraphy will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

Some Japanese women are also scheduled to teach visitors how to wear the Japanese kimono during the exhibition, which will run until April 26.

The museum can be found at 53 Esfandiar Blvd., off Vali-e Asr Ave.
