TEHRAN Sri Lankan Ambassador to Tehran Barlis Fernando in a meeting with Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here on Sunday stressed his country's political will to expand relations with Iran. Fernando expressed hope that during his tenure he would try to adopt effective measures to expand Tehran-Colombo cooperation and raise mutual transactions. Rafsanjani for his part termed bilateral relations as ''good'' and said that Iran is ready to expand its relations and cooperation with Sri Lanka. (IRNA)
