Well-Known Iranian, Foreign Theater Directors in Competition

TEHRAN The jury members of the 17th International Fajr Theater Festival this year, besides evaluating the plays being performed in the competition section, will also judge the plays being performed in the special section. Some plays from Germany, Italy, India, Armenia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan which have been chosen from among the world's various plays with different styles are being performed in the special section along with eight plays directed by renowned Iranian directors.
Mahdi Hojjat, Davoud Rashidi, Behrouz Qaribpour, Saeed Kashan Fallah and Mohammad Reza Khaki judge the plays of this section. Sultan Sanjar from Turkmenistan, Cherry Grove, Robinson, Pinoccio Faust and With the Burned Caravan from Germany, The Inn Manager from Italy, Death of Kikus from Armenia and Bahram Choubineh from Tajikistan are foreign plays of special section. Moreover, Descent From Blood directed by Atila Pesyani, Arash directed by Qotbeddin Sadeqi, Green Bird directed by Mahmoud Azizi, Night on Wet Pavement by Hadi Marzban, Play of Strindberg by Hamid Samandarian and Rostam and Sohrab by Pari Saberi are the Iranian plays of this section.
It's worth mentioning that, so far, there have been more than 100 performances in the halls assigned to the 17th Fajr Theater Festival. The 17th Fajr International Theater Festival, which was inaugurated on January 21, will run through February 4.
