TEHRAN - Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the Expediency Council, has said that it is impossible to establish peace and stability in the Middle East without the engagement of Iran.

Speaking in a meeting with religious scholars of Qom seminary school on Wednesday, Rafsanjani said the world welcomes active involvement of Iran at the international stage.

Elsewhere, he expressed hope that the next month’s parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections will be held based on the constitutional law and the teachings of Islam.

Rafsanjani said the victory of the Islamic Revolution was made possible by the active involvement of people.
