TEHRAN – The deputy chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has underlined Tehran’s unwavering support for the Syrian nation’s resistance against the foreign-backed militancy.

“The strategies and policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are defined within the framework of religious teachings, rationality, and the expediency of the Islamic Ummah and national interests,” Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said on Tuesday, Nasim reported.

He added that unlike the contradictory policies of the self-proclaimed advocates of democracy, human rights, and counter-terrorism, Iran’s policies are stable and unchanging.

The commander also denied recent media reports claiming that Iran has decreased the number of its military advisors in Syria, saying that the reports have been published in line with the psychological warfare against the anti-Israeli resistance front.

The Islamic Republic’s advisory missions in Syria will continue as long as necessary and in accordance with the requirements in the battlefield against Takfiri terrorists.
