TEHRAN – Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said on Tuesday that there is a probability for cooperation between Iran’s Air Force and Russia’s Sukhoi company.

Russian media have already reported that the two countries have signed deals worth $21 billion for the purchase of satellite-related Russian equipment as well as airplanes.

Shamkhani said the Iranian Air Force is studying to purchase warplanes which best suit its needs, according to Mehr.

On the Syrian crisis, Shamkhani said Iran will support political dialogue to prevent further bloodshed in the country.
