Iran’s non-oil trade exceeds $27.8b in 4 months

TEHRAN – The value of Iran’s non-oil trade reached $27.837 billion in the first four months of the Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
Iran exported 32.442 million tons of non-oil products, worth $14.015 billion, in the four-month period.The country imported 11.392 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $13.822 billion, during the mentioned period of time.
Exports and imports were declined by 15.2 percent and 20.18 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Iran has set a target of $77.5 billion in non-oil exports for the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, according to Mojtaba Khosrotaj, the Iranian deputy industry, mining, and trade minister.
Iran’s total non-oil exports hit $49.744 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year, showing 18.87 percent rise from $41.848 billion in its preceding year, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
The country’s non-oil imports reached $52.477 billion in the past year, with 5.57 percent growth compared to the year before.
