TEHRAN - Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Danaeifar, says Tehran will continue to support Iraq in its fight against the ISIL terrorist group.

In a Monday meeting between Danaeifar and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri in Baghdad, the two sides conferred on the most recent developments in the anti-ISIL campaign.

According to a statement released by Jabouri’s office, the Iranian envoy noted that Tehran will not stop supporting the neighboring Iraq until the eradication of Takfiri terrorists.

Iran is ready to continue its cooperation with Iraq in all areas, particularly in security affairs and Baghdad’s confrontation with the ISIL group, Danaeifar said, Almasalah news website reported.

Al-Jabouri, for his part, underscored the necessity for joint and integrated international efforts in the fight against ISIL.
