TEHRAN -- Iran's security organizations have so far foiled all enemies’ plots, the Iranian intelligence minister said on Friday.
Speaking before the Tehran worshippers, Mahmoud Alavi said that Western intelligence services and their regional allies are trying to disturb Iran's security, only to be disappointed by alert Iranian security forces, Nasim reported.
“Daesh-affiliated cores and teams were discovered one after another. Their facilities were confiscated and their members were put under strike,” Alavi said.
He then went on to report that a terrorist group which had taken hostage an international fencing athlete in Zahedan was nabbed.
Alavi explained that the group was discovered to have had on agenda to carry out several terrorist bombings in Mashhad. “Their entire equipment was confiscated,” he added.
